An apple a day?

Everyone knows the old saying "an apple a day keeps the doctor away" but there's a local business that takes those boring old apples to a whole new level.

Started by young entrepreneur Macy Nestor as a side business to provide extra money for "basics like a car and insurance" the company quickly grew as local residents embraced the sticky goodness and sweet flavors of her candy coated apples.

After operating at fairs and festivals for a while last year she made the leap and opened a brick and mortar storefront at 278 East Ave in Thomas. I've visited this location several times to quench a sweet tooth craving myself and have to say I love the atmosphere, the design, and most of all the apples.

If you're in Thomas and you'd like to check out Macy Lou’s Gourmet Apple Company you can do so online by clicking here.
