As an antique shop, we love our local history, scenic sites, and venues. Douglas Falls, located down the old train tracks below the town of Douglas, West Virginia, is one of those that used to be known only by locals before becoming a tourist hotspot in recent years.

While the days of spending hours in seclusion taking photos, relaxing, and enjoying the roar of the falls in solitude are long gone, Douglas Falls still welcomes locals and tourists alike to enjoy its beauty.

The star of the show when it comes to waterfalls in Tucker County is, of course, the well-known Blackwater Falls, but each year more and more people drive past the ruins of the coke ovens, park in the mud and gravel parking lot across the little railroad bridge, and descend the rocky hillside to catch a glimpse of the lesser-known Douglas Falls.
