I'm sure residents have noticed the growing lineup of Christmas activities in Parsons each year, what started out as a small parade has grown into a rather large parade, wreath making contest, beard contest, lighting contest, house tours, sleigh rides, hay rides, chainsaw carving, singing, and more.
Each year it seems to only get larger and draw more community involvement. I can remember several years ago when you could blink and miss the parade, now that feat would require a Rip Van Winkle sized nap to accomplish.
I'm happy to see the town pull together in the Christmas spirit and give freely during these celebrations and the festivities should be something that every citizen young and old enjoys taking part in.
2018 activities so far include the following. (More will be added as I'm notified of them)
