October 19th-20th has proven an eventful day for the small town of Parsons West Virginia as earlier reports surfaced of shots fired at the lights outside Family Dollar putting them in lockdown. Later in the night a massive collection of law enforcement and equipment gathered and staged at the Parsons City Hall parking lot to arrest the alleged subject from the earlier shots fired call. Elkins City police, Parsons Police, Tucker County Deputies, State Police, and more were seen in the lot with what appeared to be SWAT/SRT teams and even a large armored car similar in style to a blacked out military marauder.

When the time came the group pulled out in single file formation and proceeded up 2nd Street onto Spruce Street to confront the subject at his residence. At roughly 3:15AM explosions were heard in the Parsons area with a scanner announcement that an explosive entry had been made. Spotlights were observed at the house overlooking Family Dollar and loud chatter from a megaphone/radio was reported shortly after.
Scanner traffic at around 5:00AM reported the resolution of the situation with the subject local resident Herbert "Squeek" Bennett 10-15 or in custody and units were beginning to be dismissed from the scene. The subject was transported to Tygart Valley Regional Jail where he will likely await his trial as a Pretrial Felon. We thank the local law enforcement for ensuring the publics safety and quickly bringing this situation to an end.
