I'm very happy with the site progress so far as it contains several features. I decided to give a breakdown of the current site features at this time.
Forum - The forum page requires you to be logged in to post which can be accomplished by a Facebook or Google login form accessed by clicking login at the top of the site. Once you have an account here you can browse the forums, post new topics, and comment on existing topics. The forum currently features four categories general discussions (for general talk about the county), Classifieds (for posting items for buy, sell, or trade), Upcoming Events (to share your local event information), and Yard Sale Center (to post local yard, garage, and moving sales).
Blog - The blog is what you're reading right now and is a place where I write articles and posts about local history, events, website updates, and just about anything else I feel like writing related to the site or Tucker County. These articles are easily shared if you find one you like to most social media platforms and if you're logged into the site you can follow them to stay updated, comment on them, and like them.
About - The about navigation item contains a drop down menu allowing you to visit my local gallery page, shop page, and before and after slider section of the site (Changes). All three of these pages are also accessible from the main index page via the links on the smaller photos at the bottom of the page.
Local - Here you'll find the event calendar and local food, local lodging, and local shopping directories that are still under construction as I work to break them down by city and town for a complete on the go guide. Once the base directories are finished I'm hoping to obtain and make available menus from each restaurant via a slide in overlap screen.
How do I get in touch with the site admin? I can be reached at the email located at the bottom of every page, texted or called via the number at the bottom of every page (It's easier to get me by text message or email), or emailed instantly by filling out the form from the Contact page in the top right navigation bar.
Currently the most popular section of the site is the local events calendar found at https://tuckercount.net/services. This calendar features every event I know of as I learn about them taking place in Tucker County and all the information I have pertaining to the events including links to event pages, band pages, ticket sales (when applicable), and Google map links providing directions to the event venue. To keep this section updated I rely heavily on the public and ask every user to email me info about any events they are hosting or attending so I can update them to the calendar.
I still have several future plans for this site and will continue to work on it every chance I get to build the best portal to Tucker County I can. Your patronage, suggestions, shares, and input is always appreciated.
Thanks
Dave
